A Bit About Me

Julie Duggan, BSc, DO (CAN), is a Traditional Manual Osteopath who restores the body’s alignment through her deep knowledge of the body’s biomechanics. With gentle manipulations of the bones, muscles, connective tissue and organs, Julie realigns the body, balances the nervous system and restores blood flow. This reduces inflammation and allows healing to begin.

Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Julie graduated with honors from the Collège d’Études Ostéopathiques of Montreal and received her Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Manual Osteopathy from Wales University, UK in 2006. In 2007, Julie moved to San Francisco and is now raising her three beautiful children. Julie is fluent in English, French and Spanish.

Julie is very successful in the treatment of acute and chronic pain due to injury, poor posture, overwork, hormonal imbalance and stress. She also has great results with many other conditions within the digestive, cardiovascular, respiratory, endocrine, urinary and reproductive systems.

Julie’s ultimate goal is to find the root cause of pain and enhance the self-healing potential of the body. She sees the body as a whole unit and treats it as one. When muscles, bones and organs are restricted or misaligned, the body tries to compensate to keep its balance. Each treatment peels off layers of adaptation until the root cause of the problem is discovered.

Julie has the privilege to work with men and women, pregnant women, infants and children: “It is an honor for me to have the opportunity to meet every single one of my patients and get to dig deeply into what health is and how the body is supposed to work. Because when you understand health, you can prevent disease.”
